The inspiration for this page came from Jeremy Snyder's Fantastic Indonesian Words which are found elsewhere on this site. I have attempted to use humour as a device to get students to remember vocabulary from the beginning of my Indonesian-teaching career as I had personally benefitted in my learning of Indonesian by doing silly and creative things with the language. The word "sakit" and the fun you can have in class with this word is a prime example.
